In succession to the tracks "Flower Moon", "Circe" and "Daedalus", the idea was raised to create an entire album of "Myth Wave" music - a genre descriptor for the type of mystical art music that Dead Can Dance - that incredible music duo from Australia - propagates.

But as the Myth Wave album's production approach has expanded in scope (and it's projected release date pushed to mid 2022), it would be unfair to include this track - or any of the already released Myth Wave tracks on the Alice Deeper self-titled album. Therefore "Arachne" is here as a single track for your enjoyment.

So... Dead Can Dance? The inspiration should be evident, but this is a complete original in every respect. And it really does build on our personal tradition to keep exploring sonic textures outside those of the typical rock arena. Much preferring the greek tragedy theatres for this one.
